1. FUNCTIONAL CONTENT
Main Role
The Buyer Specialist supports procurement activities by managing operational purchasing processes, coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and contributing to efficient and compliant sourcing decisions. The role ensures service continuity, cost competitiveness, and alignment with procurement strategies defined by Category Managers.
Responsibilities
• Provide support to cross-functional projects (Business, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, R&D, IT, etc.) by coordinating procurement needs.
• Manage RFQs (Requests for Quotation), compare supplier proposals, and support decision-making processes.
• Provide operational and market information to support Category Manager strategic decisions.
• Contribute to supplier negotiations, contract reviews, and category updates.
• Manage tactical or lower-spend categories, ensuring competitiveness and efficiency.
• Maintain day-to-day supplier communication to ensure service levels, quality, and delivery adherence.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs (e.g., OTIF, response times, incident rates).
• Translate internal stakeholder needs into clear procurement requirements and provide visibility on progress and risks.
• Support spend reporting, data analysis, and maintenance of procurement systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GxP, audits) and procurement policies.
• Manage procurement documentation such as contracts, NDAs, and supplier qualification records.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
• Monitor procurement execution and coordinate with suppliers to resolve operational incidents.

3. JOB PROFILE
Required Studies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or a related field.
Other Specialized Knowledge
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and sourcing strategies.
- Experience with Indirect procurement is preferable.
- Experience with IT, Digital Services, software or related is preferable.
- Knowledge of contract management and supplier management principles.
- Analytical skills (Excel, data analysis, reporting).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) & ARIBA.
Languages
• Fluent English required.
• Spanish: native, advanced required.
Professional Experience
• 2–4 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Purchasing.
• Experience in a corporate or multinational environment is valued.
