GLOBAL HEAD OF GLOBAL APPLICATIONS DELIVERY

 

MISSION:

 

As Head of Applications Delivery, you will lead the comprehensive delivery of enterprise application projects and services on a global scale, ensuring their strategic evolution, operational maintenance, and alignment with business objectives. You will serve as a key reference for business processes and solution architecture, guaranteeing high standards of quality, operational efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Your mission includes driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the agility and effectiveness of application delivery, leveraging best practices in governance, agile methodologies, and vendor management. You will optimize the performance of both internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, innovative, and scalable solutions.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Strategic Alignment: Define and lead the global strategy for delivering and evolving enterprise applications.
  • Project Delivery: Overseeing the end-to-end execution of projects, from conception to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Application Evolution: Leading the development and implementation of strategies for evolving enterprise applications, ensuring they meet the changing needs of the business and leverage emerging technologies.

Supervise the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications, ensuring their availability and optimal performance.

Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application delivery processes, ensuring agile service delivery.

Interact with business areas to understand needs, propose improvements, and provide expert knowledge on key processes.

Act as Delivery Manager, ensuring correct resource allocation, progress tracking, and resolution of critical incidents.

  • Team Development: Acting as a Team Lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams distributed across different geographies, fostering professional development, and motivating team members.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluating and coordinating the management of third-party vendors, establishing KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee operational excellence.
  • Innovation and Compliance: Identifying opportunities for technological innovation and digital transformation, ensuring security, regulatory compliance, and best practices throughout the application lifecycle
  • Budget and reporting: Manage the assigned budget and prepare periodic progress reports for senior management.

 

EDUCATION

  • A university degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • A master’s degree in project management, Business Administration (MBA), or an equivalent certification is highly valued.

 

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale enterprise application projects.
  • Knowledge of various company areas such as industrial applications, HR, legal, procurement, and manufacturing is highly valued.
  • Experience leading third-party development teams as well as a background in programming is valued.
  • Deep knowledge of agile methodologies and project management.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, specifically SAP.
  • Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • A background in the pharmaceutical sector is highly valued.
  • Strategy and management consulting experience desirable
  • Good English level for writing, reading and to have a fluent conversation
  • Experience in a global and multicultural environments is a differential
