1. FUNCTIONAL CONTENT
Main Role
Manage Supply Chain Planning for Esteve Pharma’s portfolio, coordinating with CMO partners and internal sites. Establish and maintain an optimal supply plan to balance demand forecast, production capabilities, inventory levels, and operational costs, avoiding stockouts and write-offs. Foster collaboration with CMOs and closely work with Demand Planning to oversee timely product delivery and manage global supply chain networks to meet Esteve’s supply needs.
Roles:
Own Supply Planning Process and ensure an Accurate and On-Time Production Plan
- Drive detailed and smooth Supply Plan based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, safety stock quantities, meeting agreed lead times and minimum order quantities with the CMO. Place and monitor product purchase orders in SAP R3 (or current ERP) according to this plan.
- Provide goods readiness information to Global Logistics for product transportation and importation between different CMOs and to the final warehouses.
- Inform stakeholders of any actual or prospective stockouts due to CMO problems or unexpected increases in demand.
- Identify and communicate potential supply risks in the mid and long term.
Guarantee Inventory Levels and optimize target values
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels within target tolerances.
- Lead actions to mitigate stockouts and identify overstocks.
- Manage stock at CMOs for intermediate and API products owned by Esteve.
Manage Supply Chain Planning for Esteve Pharma’s portfolio
- Coordinate with CMO partners and internal sites.

Analyze Supply Planning Performance through defined KPIs
- Ensure appropriate service levels of the CMOs by tracking and calculating KPIs (OTIF and Stock Outs).
- Conduct periodic reviews with CMOs to discuss performance and improvements.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement actions.
Maintain a partnership relationship with CMOs
- Develop and manage relationships with CMOs and internal sites for all supply planning-related matters: forecast, order management, confirmations, capacity constraints, etc.
- Provide supply forecasts to CMOs and evaluate their feedback.
Participate in the S&OP cycle
- Evaluate the demand plan with CMOs and highlight early warning signals in terms of unbalanced supply vs. demand during the S&OP Supply Review.
- Represent CMOs during S&OP meetings, present unsolved constraints, and coordinate strategic solutions on the supply side with CMOs in alignment with business strategy.
Collaboration with projects or changes in Pharma products and CMOs
- Cooperate with internal stakeholders for new product launches, product changes or transfers among CMOs, coordinating the implementation from a supply planning perspective.
- Coordinate with the Artworks department the implementation of artworks changes without impacting supply continuity.
- Review supply topics in case of revision or new MSAs between Esteve and CMOs in collaboration with Global Pharma Strategic Sourcing.
Maintenance of Supply Planning related databases
- Create and maintain adequate planning master data parameters (e.g., MOQ, lead times, order frequency, and Bill of Materials when needed) in the ERP in close collaboration with Global Master Data Management.
- Maintain and update the product Supply Chain Map for any active SKU.
Keep up-to-date processes and own continuous improvement
- Create and update SOP and working instructions documents related to supply planning processes and carry out assigned training courses.
- Identify and implement process improvements. Seek individual best practices to deploy globally.

3. JOB PROFILE
Required Studies:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree or specialization in supply chain management, logistics, or related field certification preferred
Other Specialized Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in supply chain management concepts, with experience in external supply management environment
- Good understanding of the Pharma Industry and GMP environment
- Technical Skills: Desired proficiency in supply planning tools, ERP systems (SAP), and other relevant analytical tools
- Excel & other Microsoft Office tools
- Problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
Languages:
- Fluent in English (German and Spanish is a plus)
Professional Experience:
- 4 years of work experience in supply or demand planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management fields in Pharma/Consumer Health or FMCG
