1. FUNCTIONAL CONTENT

 

Main Role

As a Global Training Senior Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing ESTEVE’s global commercial and medical training and capability development strategy across the Global Medical Affairs & Commercial organization as well as set the training framework for the affiliates. The role ensures that Medical teams globally are equipped with the scientific, strategic and operational capabilities required to deliver high-quality medical and commercial impact across the product lifecycle, while ensuring consistency, excellence and alignment with global medical strategy, compliance and ways of working.

 

Roles

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

Strategic leadership & training strategy ownership
• Define and lead the global Medical and Commercial training strategy aligned with portfolio priorities, lifecycle needs, and business objectives.
• Develop integrated training curricula covering scientific knowledge, disease and product education, strategic capabilities, and operational excellence.
• Ensure clear differentiation and compliance between Medical and Commercial training content while enabling strong cross-functional alignment.
• Embed training strategies into global Medical and Commercial operating plans and lifecycle governance.

 

Global-local partnership & affiliate enablement
• Establish a scalable global training framework to guide affiliate-level Medical and Commercial training execution.
• Provide tools, standards, and guidance to affiliates to ensure consistent and high-quality training deployment.
• Partner with regional and local leaders to assess capability gaps and adapt training to local maturity and market needs.
• Create structured feedback mechanisms to continuously refine global training strategies based on affiliate insights.

 

Cross-functional & Stakeholder Alignment
• Collaborate closely with Global Medical Affairs, Global Commercial, Marketing and Medical Excellence, HR/L&D, Compliance, Regulatory, and Legal teams.
• Ensure all training content is scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with internal policies and external regulations.
• Act as a key interface between Global functions and HR learning platforms, vendors, and governance bodies.

 

Training design, delivery & innovation
• Oversee the design and rollout of innovative and scalable training solutions (e.g., blended learning, digital platforms, workshops, role-based academies).
• Apply adult learning principles and best practices to enhance learning effectiveness and engagement.
• Support faculty development and internal trainers across Medical and Commercial functions.
• Drive continuous improvement of training methodologies using data, feedback, and evolving industry best practices.

 

Performance measurements & insights
• Define and track global training KPIs and effectiveness metrics across Medical and Commercial populations.
• Assess capability uplift and impact of training initiatives on performance and execution quality.
• Monitor external trends in Medical and Commercial capability development, learning innovation, and compliance requirements.

3. JOB PROFILE

 

Qualifications and professional experience:

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business, or related field (PhD or MSc preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Training, or Capability Development within pharma / biotech.
• Proven experience designing and deploying global Medical and Commercial training programs in matrix organizations.
• Strong understanding of Medical Affairs, Commercial models, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting affiliate training frameworks is a strong plus.
• Experience in rare diseases or highly specialized/hospital products is an advantage.

• High credibility with both Medical and Commercial stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple global initiatives simultaneously.
• Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and highly regulated environments.

 

Languages

• Candidate should demonstrate English at an excellent level (proficiency).
• Other European languages will be a plus.
